Parents,
It is IMPERATIVE that you check your child's homework folder every night! Homework allows students to practice what we learned in class and prove what they can do on their own! Each night your child will bring home their agenda that they have written their homework down in. It is THEIR responsibility to write their homework down!
* Any classwork a child does not complete may be sent home to finish!
Math
Math homework will vary each day. MOST nights your child will have homework. It will be a selection of problems to allow practice of what was taught in class that day. On the days we have tests in our room we typically do not assign homework.
Social Studies
Each week your child will be given a Weekly Reader and a packet of information to complete. I will assign parts of the Weekly Reader for each child to read and have questions for them to complete. Monday through Thursday they will have an assignment. The packet as a whole is due on Friday morning when they walk into my classroom.
Reading
I firmly believe that a child should be reading daily, whether it is a book from home or school. I'm asking that your child read 15 minutes each night.
